The setting is ideal and gorgeous, near to Tarrytown, NY, and the castle which overlooked the river. Furthermore, it is 3 miles from the touristic places like a 40 - room historic house museum.

The room was spacious and airy, designed in a charming Victorian style. It had central heating, a private safe, and a pay television. The hotel's location was fantastic, very close to attractions, with a restaurant that offered scenic views of the valley and was just a short trip away from NYC.

We were pleasantly surprised by the upgrade we received at check-in. Instead of a deluxe king room, we were given a suite in the main castle! The suite had a working fireplace and a breathtaking view of the river and skyline. The complimentary beverages in the mini bar and the comfortable bed added to the luxurious experience. The tour of the hotel by Jorge, the lounge bartender, was a nice touch. Dinner at Equus was delicious, with attentive waitstaff and a cozy fireplace. The bed was turned down and chocolates were left on the nightstand, creating a romantic atmosphere. The buffet breakfast with made-to-order omelettes was delightful. this stay at Castle Hotel & Spa exceeded our expectations and is definitely one of our favorite historic hotel locations.
Some parts of the castle and spa were closed. It would have been better to have been informed about this before booking.
